Dr. 道格·比格斯出生在埃姆斯, Iowa where his father taught Geology and Earth Science at 爱荷华州立大学 for his entire career. Dr. Biggs holds a BA and an MA in 历史 from 爱荷华州立大学 and a Ph. D. 来自明尼苏达大学. He has written extensively about the political culture of late medieval England, specifically the reigns of Richard II (1377-99) and Henry IV (1399-1413).
